Project Overview

Global Fairways is a premier freight forwarder, operating as a transportation and logistics service provider in over 45 countries, established in 1990. This global reach has allowed them to amass clientele from various industries, including aerospace, automotive, electronics, retail and manufacturing. They offer transportation services via air freight and ocean freight, along with tailor-made shipment solutions unique to a company’s requirement. Their international staff of professional freight forwarders and customs brokers let them provide their clientele with a one-stop seamless experience for shipment and warehousing services.

They sought an upscale redesign and development website that delight users with visual aesthetics and give them a useful experience what their global customers need.

Role & Scope Of Project

I was the UX Designer on this project to design the overall experience closely from the user research stage to launch. My role involved designing the overall user experience of the website which began with empirical research until the launch stage of the project. My team and I were dedicated to making the user experience as simple and seamless as possible so that the adapting time for the user could be minimized as much as possible.

The Information Architecture followed the user research. During this phase, my role was to ensure that all the data is updated into the website and optimized. This is how the information was set-up and organized for users to use.

I believe any website we develop is not just an online presence, it’s an experience. The user experience is vital to the success of any website, and a positive user experience usually reduces the bounce rate and brings users back. Given that this platform is for inquiry, service request, track shipment and other detail or resources of their services. We ensure a valuable experience for their global customers where they will get familiarized with it and they can find each and everything they need from a logistic company. Studies show that 74% of people are likely to return to a website if it is optimized for mobile. In this day and age, mobile optimization is highly important, which is why our websites, just like Global Fairways, are responsive and accessible over all platforms.
